Brix & The B*tch

Some of the most rewarding work I've ever done was shooting this muay thai fight film with my insanely talented friends.  I've never completed a project feeling so battle worn, yet so accomplished! 

Trapped in a seedy and illegal fight club, one woman's only chance for escape is a gruesome brawl against the one person she refuses to harm.

Thank you to Nico Raineau for writing this film with me in mind, thanks to actress Dre Swain for taking the plunge with me into combat, & thanks to Leo Kei Angelos for making us look so darn good in the process.

The Hateful Eight

I am working a stunt under the direction of JJ Dashnaw in Quentin Tarantino's upcoming feature film, The Hateful Eight.

Don't let the somber brevity of this post fool you. It is directly inverse to the jubilance coursing through the core of my being. The stunt world is a fantastically edgy way to live!

WestWorld

HBO is launching a remake of the 1973 movie starring Yul Brynner, Westworld.  

Westworld is a futuristic theme park where paying guests pretend to be gunslingers in an artificial Wild West populated by androids. But what happens when those androids achieve sentience?  This fabulous escapist fantasy suddenly takes on a very grim & chilling reality.

Created by Lisa Joy Nolan, directed by Jonathan Nolan, & produced by JJ Abrams, this show has the potential of becoming HBOs best new show since Game of Thrones.

The pilot has been greenlit.  Subsequent episodes are currently shooting.  The expected release date is for late summer 2015.

It's exhilarating to work on another Shonda Rhimes production!  Episode 110, Hello Raskolnikov, is where you can find me on ABC's best new show - in all my Marshall-Brown splendor.

New Girl

With winter coming and everyone still single, Schmidt initiates a "Bangs-giving"-themed Thanksgiving dinner party.  They invite blind dates for each other and (would you believe it?!) yours truly walks through the door!  

How was my date with Coach?  Is this really a Guest Star? Do Zooey Deschanel & I have a moment to bond? ... ... ...well DO We?! You can find out the answer to all that and more on Bangsgiving, the Thanksgiving IV episode of New Girl on Fox.  Look for me in Episode #409.  

Better believe that "Pepper's got it!"

The Verse

Sometimes the fans speak loud enough to actualize all our dreams!!  Returning to Joss Whedon's world of Firefly; rogue director Julian Higgins & the rapscallions over at Loot Crate have given us, The Verse.

Fox's new American action cop drama series is multi-lingual and multi-ethnic.  It's the perfect place for me to make an appearance.  Episode 108, El Zorro y El Gallinero, is where you can find me.

Big Ideas Web Educational

It was a blast helping Grant Larson Productions shoot some educational episodes for Big Ideas Math!!  These fun quirky videos are designed to be supplemental resources to accompany middle and high school text books.  

Would you believe that there are people on this earth who predicted I would become a teacher someday?...Well, this is my contribution to expanding the curiosity of our youth.

Project Greenlight - Magic Matty

I helped my friend, Nico Raineau, shoot this sweet little film as part of his submission to Matt Damon & Ben Affleck's hit HBO competition show, Project Greenlight.  The film, Magic Matty, is now selected among the Top 10 Finalists!  Which means that Nico will now compete on the show and travel one step further into becoming a big shot Hollywood Director.

I had the pleasure of working on this film under the direction of Lauren Thomas last fall and I'm elated by how it turned out!  I'm so proud of the work we did, and I'm enlivened & motivated by the people I met along the way.

Also, I got to spend some quality time in a graveyard, and I've concluded that those stones aren't bad company.  Some are even quite witty...

Yes, I'm an actor - first and foremost - but something you may not know about me is I'm also a photographer!  I document Family Stories and I specialize in Children's Portraiture! My approach is comfortable & intimate. I'm all about capturing the nuanced dynamics in your Family Story - no matter how intricate they may be.

I'm grateful for my history in children's entertainment. There was a time when I would dress as a faerie and be the life of the party at children's birthday celebrations. It was a great reminder of how to play with the open-minded verve of a child, while giving me an appreciation for a good family narrative. With children's entertainment I gained insights into family structures. I learned patient yet creative ways of playing with & inspiring the little people around me. I reveled at the chance to live in the imagination of our youth, & consequently, I'm continually amazed whenever I open my mind to a child's point of view.

So, send me your babies, your rug rats, your munchkins. Send me those snaggletoothed bundles of Love that warm your heart & cling to you each day. I'll give them a new perspective from which to see themselves, and I'll show you the world from their eyes.
